Dear Friends,
We hope everyone is having a great summer!
The theme this time is "getting together."
Many of you have sent in wonderful photos and stories of
meeting up with one another, with or without an official
Reunion.
Hope you enjoy the nostalgia and the
news sent in by your classmates.

Linda Lord Adrian reports:

"Eric Seline and his wife Annie were in
Sarasota last summer while he was going through
cancer treatment. I heard about this through your
BCC communications, and contacted him (Sarasota is near
Longboat Key), even though we weren't really close in
high school and hadn't been in contact since we
graduated. We got together a couple of times over
the summer and had a GREAT TIME! Eric is
really enjoyable and has a terrific wife.
My husband Milan and I are on the left, Eric &
Annie on the right."
Editor's note: Eric is doing fine
now!
Linda also reported that she and a neighbor in
Longboat Key, also a B-CC grad (class of
'58), sang a rousing version of the Barons fight song at
a neighborhood party recently. (Wonder if they'll
be invited back?) |

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Many of you have sent in generous donations for the
50th Reunion.
Each check that arrives
is joyfully received and brings us one
step closer to having a truly amazing 50th. And
guess what? More donations are still needed--for
mailings, venue reservations, and deposits. We have
already begun work on the 50th Booklet, and would love
to be able to do a quality printing job this time.
Donations can be in any amount -- every bit
helps! Please send your contribution to
Barbara Johnson, 7500 Shadywood Road, Bethesda,
Maryland, 20817. The checks should be made out to
Smith Barney.
Again, thank you!

Motovich students
thrive!
Barbara Johnson and Jan Tupper traveled
to the UK in 2003 to see Lady Jane Lake
Birt's retrospective exhibit of paintings.
Here are Barbara, Paul Knutson, and Jane (Jan
is behind the camera) just before venturing
into the House of Lords for some tea and
scones.
Mr. Motovitch would have been so proud. His former
student's paintings
were fantastic. Oh, and by the
way, the scones were delicious!
Here's a link to Jane's most recent
exhibit:
And from another of his students, Susan
Middleman:

HAPPY 40TH
WOODSTOCK ANNIVERSARY!

The photo above is posted on www.npr.org by Robert Goldstein,
sibling of our own Donald Goldstein. (Is that
Jan's brother, Lanny Tupper, in the next to
last row?) Robert is the current music librarian of
NPR! If you were there, please send a

And do you remember the radio rock n roll
DJ, Don Dillard, recently deceased?

Awwwww....so
sweet!
Margie Carone sent this line up of Rosemary
Elementary 6th grade graduates.
She's not sure who the first girl is, but
thinks the rest are Judy Hays, Jane Boscoff,
Betty Etter, Margie Carone, and Susan
Ward.
Do you agree?
We received so many more photos and stories
(including one about a certain potluck who
used enjoy freezing bras) but sadly, we are out of
space. If you don't see a photo you sent
in, no worries. We are saving all of them for
inclusion in the deluxe 50th Reunion Booklet, or for
future newsletters.
P.S. Remember the "pyramid photo?" We asked
if you could identify the person on the top of the
heap.
Votes came
in for Martha Fishburn, Nancy Peck,
and Jan Tupper. Margie Carone says it was
Jan. Jan says she has no memory of any such
incident. | |
