It is again with great sadness that we tell you of the passing of another of our classmates.
Rebecca "Becky" Harris Koon died on November 21, 2009.
We had only just recently found Becky after many years of searching.
Becky had ovarian cancer over 2 years ago.
Here is an excerpt from a note from her husband:
"She didn't die from cancer. She had beaten the cancer.
I had an autopsy done on her and they couldn't determine the cause of her death.
She had a pain in her shoulder on the evening of her death.
I called 911 and she died in my arms as I waited for them. The autopsy confirmed that she was cancer free.
In going through her things and finding the brochure for your class reunion,
she had a post-it note on the flyer to say she and I would attend the 50th reunion of your class."
"There were over 400 people at her memorial service, and we were fairly new to the area.
They came from all over--Texas, California, Seattle, Washington to name a few.
